Our program is designed to offer guidance and assistance on pharmaceutical waste categorization, segregation, storage, transport and disposal through a combination of web conferences, teleconferences, and on-site consulting and training. Our experienced staff works with the facility's core team to make critical, informed decisions which will direct a successful roll-out of the program. These meetings are done initially via webinars and phone consultations followed by an intensive one day site visit. This initial visit is conducted by two experienced PharmEcologists® and includes an introductory meeting with all facility stakeholders. An assessment of the pharmacy, selected nursing areas, and the EVS storage areas is conducted. The intent of this first day is to answer any questions and assist stakeholders with the critical decisions needed for successful implementation.

Our second visit is reserved for training. During the 2nd visit, pharmacy managers, pharmacy staff, and EVS managers and staff are trained during a series of classes held at the convenience of each department. Training for nurse educators is also conducted and preparations are made for full house roll-out. These nurse educators will participate in “train-the-trainer” classes to enable them to provide ongoing nurse training.

Rely on our Sustainable Pharmacy® solutions to deliver environmentally sound management of both hazardous and non-hazardous pharmaceutical waste.
