WM Healthcare Solutions, Inc. (WMHS), a subsidiary of Waste Management, Inc., announced today that it has purchased substantially all of the assets of PharmEcology® Associates, LLC.

What does this news mean for our current and prospective clients?

PharmEcology Associates, LLC is very excited about its recent acquisition by WM Healthcare Solutions. As pharmaceutical waste management becomes an increasing issue for healthcare facilities, we believe this partnership will enable our entire team to offer an integrated solution not previously available to PharmEcology customers.

Business as usual?

Absolutely! Our Wauwatosa, WI, office is open for business as usual. Please continue to contact Monica Livingston, Project Manager, or Patti Zager, Administrative Assistant, for any customer service or related questions. All of our current account executives will also be working with you as usual. And we’re bringing all our consultants with us as well, ensuring that our pharmacist-oriented waste categorization and on-site risk assessment activities continue without interruption.

What about Charlotte Smith, PharmEcology founder?

Charlotte is delighted to have the opportunity to continue to grow PharmEcology and develop new services with the support and resources of a company such as WM Healthcare Solutions. Will our fees change?

No, we will continue to offer our services at the current 2009 fee schedules introduced on January 1, 2009.
