PharmEcology Associates is pleased to announce the release of its PharmE® Policies and Procedures early in January, 2007 and the availability of expanded hazardous waste consulting services due to its partnership with SRC Services International, Inc.

The PharmE® Policies and Procedures will provide Word document templates needed for each step of pharmaceutical waste management for the five implementation models identified in the H2E Blueprint for Managing Pharmaceutical Waste, co-authored by Charlotte Smith, president of PharmEcology Associates. Having the opportunity to modify these comprehensive documents will save Directors of Pharmacy, Safety Officers, and Environmental Services Managers countless hours and streamline the implementation process.

Responding to repeated requests to offer the next level of service to deal with Large Quantity Generator requirements, contingency plans, chemical exposure monitoring, multi-media Environmental Health & Safety audits, Environmental Management Systems development, and a variety of other related needs, PharmEcology Associates has partnered with SRC Services International, Inc., a diverse environmental health and safety consulting firm.

The SRC consulting team is led by Mr. Suresh Chandnani, Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM), an experienced expert in the environmental health and safety field, who can provide extended services required by hospitals and the medical community in the areas of waste management, implementation of best management practices (BMPs) for pharmaceutical waste management, on-site Environmental Health and Safety services required by hospitals to stay in compliance, integration of JCAHO Performance Improvement Initiatives and BMPs with Environmental Management Systems (EMS), engineering services related to sustainability principles such as meeting green building standards, and training in various aspects of waste management and EH&S compliance practices.

Mr. Chandnani is a licensed professional engineer in the environmental engineering discipline, and a certified professional in the EH&S field with an excellent reputation that has attracted clients to him for more than twenty years.
